We went Christmas ornament shopping as a family this year and picked out pieces that represent us the best. Old-world glass Christmas ornaments for all the little things we love right now — golf, football, donuts, tacos — the tiny details that make up our everyday life. It was simple and fun, but somehow felt really special to do together while planning our Christmas decorating for the season.

The Christmas tree still leans classic and collected, but this year it has a lot more personality. Instead of choosing ornaments just for the aesthetic, we built a tree around who we are in this season of life. It feels timeless… but also a little more “us,” which makes the whole Christmas decor moment feel even warmer.

There’s something really sweet about having a Christmas tree full of memories instead of just a mood board. I think this might be our new tradition — choosing meaningful ornaments together every year and letting our Christmas decorating tell a little more of our story.
