Iāve talked a lot about my drinking habit. Itās a habit and not a problem because I have the ability to say no and itās not impacting my work, my relationships or my parenting.
What it does impact is my overall wellness. Itās empty calories. My skin is always more dry on days that I drink. My hydration isnāt as good either - ergo dry skin. My sleep is affected if I drink too much. Sometimes I make bad choices about food. (My willpower for š isnāt good when my mind isnāt totally clear)
When I started using the @noom app it really showed me how my daily calories were broken down and the šø is a large chunk of what I should be devoting to more calorie dense foods that are good for me like fruits, veggies and lean proteins which keep my body fueled for the day.
Iām continually working on cutting back and because Iāve made some good habits with the #noom app I am way more aware of what Iām eating and drinking daily. My sometimes 2 drinks have definitely become 1 and will start becoming none on certain days of the week!
My water intake has increased significantly due to having a place to track consumption - I basically wasnāt drinking any significant amounts of water daily and now Iām up to almost 80oz per day!
I personally donāt have a bad relationship with food and Iāve always eaten very healthy, but I never paid much attention to portion size and now Iām more aware of proteins that I select. I swap out a few ounces for more veggies which actually keep me more full!
I never limit, restrict or deny something I want, but knowing that I will be logging my bites at the end of the day keeps me honest with my ājust one biteā of something sweet! š«
