It’s amazing what changes in a year vs what stays the same. 1 year ago I said goodbye to a career Ioved. My heart broke. 💔 I wasn’t sure how I was going to reinvent myself or move on. I lost a piece of me that I didn’t know I had to lose. Cut to a year later. I found myself back in a career that challenges me and allows me to utilize my skills and knowledge. What stayed the same are my core values, work ethic, ability to see the best in people and attention to detail. (And obviously my love of style and fashion 💃🏼) What’s different is that I didn’t understand at the time what all my years of experience actually qualified me to do. I suffered from imposter syndrome in the worst way and how I snapped out of it was to take an opportunity in an industry that I knew very little about. It’s here that I found my instincts and overall knowledge about business and working with people were highly transferable. My years of work prepared me for this time in my life and I didn’t even realize it. I undervalued myself, I didn’t trust what I knew and that was my mistake! We still have the ability to learn so much about who we are on a daily basis. You can pivot your life and career and still be successful! When you are forced to change, you grow! Step out of your comfort zone. Try something new. Fall in love again with your life no matter what stage you are in. You’ll be glad you did.
