Our open concept kitchen is one of my favorite things about our home! Since we love to cook, we wanted our kitchen to be central to our main living space and have been so happy with how it worked out. We also opted to keep our eating spaces informal island barstools and bench seats around our dining table. We actually originally considered building our dining benches into the room (almost like a big booth) but ultimately felt that a free-standing table would be easier to maneuver around so we went with what felt like the more practical choice - although I still really love both ideas!!
