One of my favorite times of the day is first thing in the morning before everybody else gets up when I have maybe 10 minutes to myself. I go over what I need to do that day check my emails dilly dally on Instagram for a few minutes and then I just sit and I think.

Sometimes nothing comes to mind and other days a million things come to mind. To be honest most of the time my brain goes straight to am I being a good mom am I being a good wife a good friend a good daughter? Sometimes I answer those questions and sometimes I walk away with more questions then when I started.

I’ve learned a lot about myself in the last year or two what I need to be a better mom what I need to be a better wife and friend and daughter and things that I don’t and one of the main things is I need me time I need time to think about why things are the way that they are. I need self-care if I am not good for myself and I can’t be good for anyone else! I challenge you as my Instagram friends and friends in real life and family members to take that five minutes and really give yourself time to start your day the way that makes you the happiest! ⁣ http://liketk.it/3c3SQ #liketkit @liketoknow.it
