I’ve been so excited around a big change I’m planning for the blog and a little extra thing I’m working on. I’ve always been open to sharing whatever I am going through with others, in hopes of helping someone else. This past year, the more I wrote about pregnancy, especially in relation to Crohn’s Disease/chronic illness or mental health, I really felt like I was able to make an impact. It was therapeutic for me and I spoke to so many women who were able to relate. Due to my IBD, I had to do a lot of my own research throughout my pregnancy. The more I searched, the more I was shocked by the gaps in our healthcare system surrounding maternal health (including mental health), as well as education and support for new parents. Over the past couple of months I’ve been working to become certified to educate others in this space. I’m hoping that this coming year I can shift the focus of my blog to provide more resources especially for new moms as well as those IBD. I’m excited to be able to provide true education on top of sharing life experiences and I hope I can make even more of an impact with my new perspective. I’m not sure exactly what this is going to all look like yet, but I am looking forward to seeing what works and being able to provide the education I think so many mamas (+dads!) could benefit from. 🤍 . . . . . . . . http://liketk.it/365t7 @liketoknow.it #liketkit #StayHomeWithLTK
