The reason I chose motherhood was because I got to grow up watching a mother who chose it every single day.

You never wavered on what your purpose was. While the world constantly tried to convince women that fulfillment was found elsewhere, you quietly and faithfully built a life centered around your home and your family. And somehow, you made it all feel beautiful.

You created an atmosphere where motherhood felt meaningful. Where home felt safe. Warm. Sacred even. You made ordinary things feel magical: dinner around the table, holidays together, rides home from church, late night talks, laughter echoing through the kitchen.

You made motherhood look less like sacrifice and more like the greatest reward.

And now, as a mother myself, I realize more than ever just how much of my own life was shaped by yours. So much of what I longed to create for my children first began with what you created for us.

Two years ago, this was just an idea scribbled in the margins of my notebook… a “someday” dream I kept bringing up to my husband in passing.

A little greenhouse tucked behind our garden beds. A place to start seeds, clip flowers, and slow down for a minute.
