This denim jacket might be one of the best purchases of the year — so flattering, looks good with white or ecru denim, these Lodge Pants, a slip dress or skirt… pretty much everything 😂. The Paige Anessa jeans are one of my favorite styles and this new ecru wash is a summer staple. I keep talking about this Aritzia white tee and it really is that good! Don’t buy white jeans unless they pass these four tests!! ❌

Finding white jeans that are flattering, elevated, and comfortable is no easy feat!! After 25+ years as a personal stylist and Nordstrom buyer, I’ve tried on more pairs of white denim than I can count!

With 25 years of dressing room experience, here’s my criteria every pair of white jeans needs to pass:
1. The pocket test - Even if the denim isn't totally see-through, cheap white jeans often have bright white pocket bags that show through the front, creating two awkward, bright white rectangles right across your hips.
2. The Sag Test - White jeans often rely on stretch to be comfortable, but cheap elastane stretches out within thirty minutes, leaving you with baggy knees and a saggy backside. Conversely, 100% rigid white cotton can dig in and feel uncomfortable when you sit.
3. The Bend Test - If your waistband puckers or you can see your underwear clearly through your jeans when you bend over, it’s usually a sign of poor fit and quality.
4. The Confidence Test - this is the #1 sign to buy!!! The best jeans will make you look and feel instantly more confident!
