HAPPY BELATED 151st BIRTHDAY 🎂⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ The Metropolitan Museum of Art celebrated its 151st birthday this week! ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ While you might know those steps behind the fountain as a famous filming site from Gossip Girl, The Met is home to more than 2 million artworks from around the world, spanning 5,000 years of history.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Some of my favorite exhibits include:⁠⠀ ✨The Temple of Dendur⁠⠀ ✨The Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden⁠⠀ ✨American Wing Period Rooms⁠⠀ ✨The Met Cloisters⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ While The Met does not offer free admission hours/days, New York State residents and NY/NJ/CT students can pay-what-they-wish for entry fees. For everyone else, adult admission is $25, students with a valid ID is $12, seniors (65+) is $17, and children under 12 are free.
