We did a DIY renovation in our kitchen last year, and we love it... but a few things were missing - the lighting above & below our kitchen island! ad So we decided to level it up with @PhilipsHue lighting from @Target and it was just what it needed!! When we did our bedroom lighting, we got the starter kit which includes 2 A19 bulbs + the bridge. Since you can pair up to 50 Philips Hue products on one bridge, all we needed for the kitchen was the lighting itself! So we simply unscrewed our old lightbulbs, and replaced them with the Philips Hue bulbs. Then you can download the app on your phone & pair your lights! That instantly fixed the lighting issue above the island, but to fix underneath the island, we added in the Philips Hue Light Strip Plus. It's super easy to install, because the backing is peel & stick. So we just pulled off the paper backing, and stuck it right underneath the countertop... and in minutes, our kitchen was completely transformed! Once the lightings installed, you can control it through the Philips Hue app on your phone. You can select millions of different colors, or you can go more neutral & pick from millions of white tones, from relaxing warm white, to energizing cool white, or anywhere in between! My goal for the kitchen lighting is to be able to change between warm & cool lighting throughout the day... so sometimes we will use the preset "scenes" to give off different moods, but for our daily default, we opt for the "natural light" setting. That starts off with a cool light in the morning to wake you up, and as the day goes on, it slowly adjusts to more of a warm light, to let you unwind as it gets later in the evening. It's amazing!! We also love the functions that the bridge provides. It allows you to combine your room lighting & be controlled all together. It also allows you to control your lighting from anywhere.
