I will see the comment on my videos that after using the RevAir some notice dry, straw like hair. Here are my top tips to avoid this! 1. Make sure your hair is in good condition if you want to see good results. What goes in the RevAir will come back out! I would recommend a good moisturizing shampoo and deep conditioner before stretching your hair. If you are using a detox shampoo or clarifying shampoo it’s important to bring that moisture back into your hair with a deep conditioner or it will come out feeling very dry. I have several favorites I recommend! 2. Make sure you are applying some type of leave in heat protectant spray to your hair before using the tool. I have tried a lot and a good light weight spray will do the trick and give you soft cloud like results. If you notice your results feeling sticky it’s more than likely the leave in spray. Not all sprays are created equal. 3. Make sure to detangle each piece before you place it in the tool. If you place a tangled piece into the tool it will come out tangled and hard to maneuver. Detangle with a detangling brush not comb, to get the best results. If you are still seeing straw like results you may be overdo for a trim. Make sure to keep up with your trims so you are not working with split ends which give your hair a more puffer look. You may also need to adjust the setting that you are using it on. I use the highest tension setting 7 and temperature setting II (220F). And remember the RevAir uses less heat than normal dryers so don’t let using the highest setting scare you. Along with the leave in heat protectant spray you should be more than protected!
