This Rechargeable Lamp Is a Game Changer For Us.

Living in a cottage with its low ceilings and dark beams means some rooms struggle for lighting. We can’t have the sockets of a modern build and this lamp is brilliant. At first I was moving it around the cottage as it’s so easier. Soft mood lighting in the kitchen in the evening, to plugging it into my laptop to lighting up the snack on the footstool. The hydrangeas are finishing in the garden now so I’ve cut the heads and brought them inside to dry out and the peony leaves have turned the brightest of reds making a gorgeous warm centrepiece.

The summer holidays have come to an end. Next week we have big changes for everyone, one is starting college, one is starting a new job and my daughter goes into her final year of GCSEs

Life seems to change as quickly as the seasons when they are this age. I lost my lovely Nan this week which makes it feel like life is changing even quicker.

She used to take me on a bus to go around the markets in Birmingham to pick out fabrics and although it was the simplest thing it’s one of my most memorable childhood memories.
