How was your Monday? I think it sure went by fast. I posted a pic of fall this morning, but I do have a couple trees up. This is a pencil tree from @balsamhill which if you are like me you always have a corner that needs to be filled, but the Christmas tree is to wide. I have had my eye on this outdoor settee and chair last from #pierone. It fits perfectly in front of the fireplace. When fall comes, along with some cooler temps we will be able to finally sit and roast some s'mores. So absolutely happy with it. The best part... was it was half off, plus an additional 20%. just hopping on here to say have a great weekend. Sharing my new topiaries that I made earlier today . I saw some shopping with my friend Amy at her store, the Findery. They were amazing! We left without thinking about buying them , but then went to Hobby Lobby . I came across some that looked more like trees. Since I don't have a green thumbI I better stay with artificial. I will have the diy project up on my blog next week.

I was just telling a friend I had been traveling a lot this month so I had only been about 8 days so I am ready to get back to my "ig" job. I really had a lot of time to think about my journey here on ig. I am sharing some of my highlights and insights on my blog this week, plus the woman who have influenced me through this journey.
When my blog/website went up about 5 months ago it a whole new world was introduced to me. I have been fortunate to be a stay at home mom . Oh my goodness...
( warning ... paragraph not related to decor. ) Just a moment to breath out some frustration. Is it me or are the highways are just getting ridiculous. It literally took us 7 hours to get our destination today that would have taken 3. Yes, I understand a wreck happens, but their has to be a better way of handling situations like this. 😬
Anyways... I was happy to be home for a few days to enjoy cooking some good southern meals again.
Hopefully August will be calmer... scratch that. 😢 We are moving in our daughter to college.

So it has been while... hope you all have been enjoying your summer. I have traveling the last three weeks visiting family in my home state of Indiana. I was so very happy to see my sister Kim. Her battle with cancer has been tough as anyone who who has delt with it or has been touched by it. I certainly came home a different person. I am happy to be home. The heat is extremely difficult to be outside, but we love spending nights out on porch. Thanks for hanging in there with me. I will be having lots of fun things coming up on my page and blog.

This week I will be flying up to see my sister Kim. I will introduce you to her. She is beautiful inside and out. I am so anxious to go and give her a big hug. She has been through so much already, but is being so strong. Her kids and husband Denny just amaze me. She is down from 10 to 8 tumors in her brain. The cancer unfortunately is in all her magic organs, spleen, bones. They have started treatment of chemotherapy this week. So please, please if you have an extra prayers tonight send one up for her. I have been making home made pizzas as long as I remember. Love patting out that dough, using fresh tomatoes. I topped mine off tonight (since hubby and daughter are gone) with lettuce, sautéed mushrooms and olives. Hope you have yummy plans for this evening.

Just wanted to say thank you for all the sweet compliments and birthday wishes! It totally made my day!
My husband Sean took Gracie and I down to the Hippodrome here in Waco If any of you live or visit Waco it is a historical theater where you can dine inside the theater. It is spectacular, a must a see if you are visiting. It was so funny because the movie got out pretty late, so we were scrabbling to get home for cake before 12:00. I am not superstitious, but my husband always insists that you have cake on your birthday. So, just wanted to say thanks!

I have made more so the beads are up on the blog! Very much appreciated 😘 they are all 3-4 ft long. I paint every cross and bead myself. I absolutely love making them.
