First “workout” post-surgery — and it looked a lot different than it used to. Breast cancer, a double mastectomy, and being in the middle of reconstruction have changed what my body can do right now… but they haven’t changed my desire to move. Today was simple: a steady walk on the treadmill and lots of slow mobility work. No heavy weights. No pushing limits. Just listening to my body and giving it what it could handle. And here’s the reminder I needed (and maybe you do too): 👉 Every little bit counts. 👉 Movement doesn’t have to be intense to be powerful. 👉 Taking care of yourself — in whatever season you’re in — matters so much for your body and your mind. I’m tagging the workout wear and the tools I’m loving right now — the same ones that have helped me before and after surgery — in case they help you, too. 🤍 Healing isn’t linear… but showing up for yourself is always worth it. breastcancersurvivor doublemastectomyjourney mastectomyrecovery lifeafterbreastcancer healingaftercancer strongwomenover50 fitover50 midlifewomen wellnessover50 healthyover50 womenhelpingwomen slowandsteadyprogress movementismedicine selfcarejourney bessieandcompany healingjourney workoutaftermastectomy gentlemovement wellnessoverperfection moveyourbody LTKActive LTKOver40
