Transform your outdated light fixture… but on a BUDGET 💰

I had this older looking vanity light fixture in my bathroom and it needed to be modernized!

This was one of the easiest flips I have ever done! All I needed was spray paint, new light shades and new light bulbs!

With just those few changes, it’s like I bought a whole new light fixture!

Want to know how I transformed this outdated bathroom tile??

I have been tired of this yellow tile wall for a WHILE now and wasn’t quite sure what to do about it, so I did a little digging and decided… I’ll just paint it!

To prep for this project, I made sure to thoroughly clean the tile (a cleaner like Krud Kutter will work) and made sure there was no residue or dirt! Depending on your tile, you might need to lightly sand before also! (I personally didn’t sand for this project because of the primer I chose)

After cleaning the tile, I primed with the 1, 2, 3, Bullseye Primer from Lowes. When painting, I used a brush to paint all of the grout lines first, then I used a roller for the rest. I let this coat dry a full 24 hours before painting the first pass of top coat.

For my top coat, I chose to use the Zinsser Perma-White Top Coat in Semi-Gloss (also purchased at Lowes). I had to do two coats of this to get the desired coverage and I let each coat dry for a full 24 hours. This top coat is okay to repaint after 2 hours, but I just wanted to make sure it fully cured between coats.

I really love how this tile turned out and I think it will look great once I am finished with everything in the bathroom!

Another option to give your tile a different look would be to go in with a grout pen after you are finished painting. For now, I am going to leave mine all white but I think a black grout line would look great!

Spice Drawer 🌶

This was an ABSOLUTE must have for me when my husband and I moved into our new home!

I always hated having to dig through a spice cabinet and never being able to find what I needed but this changed it all!

I got all of these items off of Amazon! We gave almost had them for a full year now and they are still going strong!

The original spice drawer tier I bought is now no longer available but the one linked below is very similar and more customizable to various drawer sizes!
