Here’s what I love about each of these pieces…
1 | The white button-down is a perfect example of a classic basic with a modern twist. The cropped fit is very flattering, and the short sleeves with button-tab cuffs feel really utilitarian and cool.
2 | This brown belt has been a heavy hitter since the moment I got it. The oval gold belt buckle is timeless in its design. It’s just a really lovely versatile basic to have in your closet.
3 | It’s not often you can find a pair of denim shorts that fit well, feel super comfortable, are flattering, have a great wash/design, and are affordable… but these check all the boxes!!! If you buy one pair of shorts this season, this is the pair to buy!
4 | A light neutral blazer is a sophisticated layer that adds instant polish to any outfit… and it’s the perfect basic to carry for when you are in an air-conditioned building and need something to throw over your shoulders in the summertime.

This beautiful one-shoulder cotton dress from ME+EM is sophisticated, simple, elegant, and SO comfortable. It is a dress you will want to wear again and again and again this spring and summer… on a beach vacation, by the pool, out to dinner, to any party, and even running errands with sneakers or flats…it’s that versatile!

The one-shoulder neckline adds a dash of sexy and modernity to the dress. It has a flattering smocked bodice that feels very secure. Depending on your comfort level and size of your bust, you can even wear it with or without a strapless bra. There’s also a thin grip strip at the top that helps keep it in place, so you don’t have to worry about tugging or pulling. The skirt of the dress is a gauzy cotton that’s very breathable and lightweight… perfect for those hot summer days! It is lined so you don’t have to worry about any see-through factor either. Oh, and I almost buried the lead… It has pockets! Fit is true to size.

I styled the dress with a sophisticated pair of kitten heel, sling-back sandals.. These sandals are that perfect combination of elevated and casual so you can easily dress them up or down. The straps are elastic and the slingback has an adjustable buckle for added comfort and the perfect fit, plus the block heel is less than two inches, making these very manageable, comfortable, and easy to walk in…YAY! The blazer is SO good because of the elevated details like the luxe gold buttons and structured, padded shoulders. The shoulders create width across the top, which in contrast with the tailored waist, creates the illusion of a smaller waist, and more of an hourglass shape. This is great for anyone with a boxier, rectangular shape like mine or someone who wants to accentuate their curves. The cotton blend fabric is thick enough to create structure, but is also quite breathable and lightweight for those that run hot. Fits run true to size for all pieces.

The blazer is SO good because of its sophisticated details like the luxe gold buttons and structured, padded shoulders. The shoulders create width across the top, which in contrast with the tailored waist, gives the illusion of a smaller waist. The cotton blend fabric is thick enough to provide structure but is also quite breathable and lightweight for those who run hot. Since this blazer is denim, you can style it multiple ways: casually for lunch or dress it up for work or dinner.

In this look, I styled the blazer with one of my favorite basic white tees by ATM, a pair of cropped white jeans by L’Agence, and some neutral Sam Edelman pumps. Pairing the blazer with whites and light neutrals like this feels so fresh and springy.

I completed the look with some cool Le Specs aviator sunglasses and my beautiful Bottega Veneta cassette bag that I’ve owned for a few years. All of these pieces run true to size.
