We gave our primary bathroom a mini makeover by upgrading the shower head, faucets, mirrors, light fixtures, and vanity hardware.

When we purchased this home, this bathroom was very basic builder grade. The first update we made in 2019 was building the floating shelves (previous to the addition of the floating shelves that space was totally empty). In 2020, we added the tiled backsplash behind the vanity. But some this this space still felt incomplete.

With this upgrade I am now totally loving this space. In a perfect world, we would replace the vanity entirely but for now I’m happy with the hardware change.

This is my system for bathroom vanity / under the bathroom sink organization and as a self proclaimed messy person - this organization system is PROVEN to keep you organized!

I used to have to clean out and re-organize this area every few months but these storage drawers help to keep me super organized and I can’t recommend them enough!

HOW TO (EASILY) UPGRADE YOUR BUILDER GRADE BATHROOM:

1 Add custom shelving. We DIYed floating shelves into this weird empty space our builders left for us.
2 Add a backspalsh. We chose to take the tiles up to the ceiling for an elevated look. We chose to DIY this project too and tiling was easier than we anticipated (with some guidance from a neighbor who had experience!)
3 Switch our mirrors, hardware, and lighting. This is the easiet and most affordable way to upgrade your bathroom without spending a ton of money or having to learn any new skills!
4 Add decor such as rugs, pretty hand soap dispensers, and an upgraded way to hold your hand towels like this ceramic dish I found. We didn’t want to have to drill into our pretty new tile to install a hand towel holder so I love this alternate method!
