Three simple ships that I made in 2025 to reduce visual clutter...
1. Dish drying mat instead of a rack - I love that you can easily store it when you want the counters to feel clear!

2. A kids’ junk drawer - all the little things that come home and end up on the counter need a place. Everything goes in their drawer. When it’s full, they get to sort it out. It’s like their own little treasure chest!

3. A storage box on the nightstand - try this instead of a catch all tray! If you like things tucked away, this simple linen box will make your space feel calmer right away.

Sanity Saver! If you love a cozy, slow Christmas morning but feel overwhelmed by the cleanup that comes after — this helps so much (especially if you're hosting)!

Give each kid a basket for their gifts, toss the packaging as you go, and have them put everything in their basket. Even if the baskets stay under the tree, it still looks pretty and neat — and keeps the chaos to a minimum.

The baskets shown here are the container store ones $139 they are a great size, very thick and sturdy. The others are more affordable and slightly bigger but still beautiful too!

With the kids back in school, the art projects and papers start piling in fast! 🎨📄 One of my favorite systems is creating a drop zone—we use one file folder for each child to manage school papers or artwork worth keeping. A few quick tips to keep that drop zone tidy (and from overflowing):

1️⃣ Sort right away: go through school papers and mail as soon as they come in. Toss the junk—it’s okay to let go of old homework or scribbles. Your kids won’t want it all as adults, so keep only what really matters.

2️⃣ Do it now: if it takes less than 2 minutes (like paying a bill), take care of it immediately and recycle the paper.

3️⃣ Save what matters: keep special artwork or important documents in one place.

4️⃣ When it comes to your setup, a drop zone that’s hidden behind closed doors but still easy to access is ideal.

This easy and little system keep your counters clear from the visual clutter!
