I decided to have a home birth with my second & third babies after having a hospital birth with my first. I knew I wanted to experience birth the way it was meant to be… uninterrupted. I’ve experienced that now & it’s unlike anything I’ve ever done. It’s magical and perfect.

This book is full of testimonies from home births & shares their experiences so vividly. I recommend this book to any woman that desires to birth a child in her life. This book truly prepared me to experience childbirth in a way that I didn’t know was possible.

Even if homebirth isn’t your thing, it’s worth the read & can aid in prepping you for a hospital birth as well!

This was a gift that I didn’t know I needed with my second baby.
It contains encouraging messages and reminders that every postpartum mama needs to hear.

It’s laid out beautifully in 6 week sections to give you a bit to read each week for that first bit of postpartum.

This is the PERFECT gift for your friend that’s currently expecting. Whether it’s their 1st baby or not.

My Amazon pregnancy must-haves!

There are other things I suggest like good-quality supplements & chiropractic care… but these are my go-to Amazon items for pregnancy!

Clary Sage oil - quality is everything when it comes to essential oils so I only use Young Living oils. Clary Sage is known for helping to progress labor. I rubbed it on my belly and diffused it for my last homebirth and had a perfect 4 hour labor.

Jojoba oil & beef tallow - rub these on your baby bump to prevent stretch marks! This will be my third baby and I only have 2-3 visible stretch marks on my lower abdomen 👏🏼
These products are all I ever use.

Herbal Nora Tea - nettle, red raspberry leaf, oat straw, & alfalfa are proven to strengthen the uterus, & providing overall maternal health. This tea is essential for pregnancy and even postpartum.

Pregnancy ball - This ball differs from a regular yoga ball in 2 ways that I’ve noticed so far:
1. It doesn’t lose air as fast as other yoga balls I’ve tried during my last pregnancy (& I tried 3 different ones 💀)
2. It comes with a book full of pregnancy exercises which have been super helpful! Of course I can turn on YouTube to watch them but I love a good book and less screen time.

Magnesium Flakes - These are must for post partum too… I just honestly ran out of room on my graphic. Magnesium flakes are the og detox/healing bath ingredient! I soak in these during late pregnancy for hip & back soreness & I’ll be soaking in them postpartum for overall healing & soreness.

LMNT - the BEST electrolyte I’ve ever used. I’ve been breastfeeding this entire pregnancy and it’s easy to get dehydrated. This brand is what I’ll be drinking during my labor and all of postpartum. 1 pack daily in water is all you need.

Postpartum care is something that isn’t talked about enough but preparing for it can help so much! Here’s the Amazon finds I swear by:

Arnica oil - arnica is a natural pain reliever & birth will wear you out! I was so sore in my neck and back after my last labor so having my husband rub this on me at night before bed for the first few weeks was a game changer!

LMNT - as seen in my pregnancy must-haves post. This is the electrolyte powder you need for every day in your life but ESPECIALLY during pregnancy, labor, & pp.

After ease - This is an herbal tincture that will help those afterbirth contractions that come with placenta delivery and breastfeeding. You can drop this right into your mouth and chase with water. They ease the pain instantly!

Peppermint oil - essential oil quality is everything so I only use Young Living oils! Peppermint oil is a natural icy hot! So you get that cooling sensation that comes with pain relief. I put this in a roller ball and rub it on my neck and back for cooling down during labor and also for pp soreness.

Herbal sitz bath - I brew this herbal tea and pour it straight into the bathtub to soak for healing my perineum. It’s soothing and nourishing for you lady parts. I soaked in this bath a couple times a week during the first couple weeks.

Perineum spray - Use this after you wipe for those post partum (pp) pees & poops! Its soothes and heals your perineal area whether you had years or not. I bought a 2 pack last time and it lasted me perfectly until I felt like I didn’t need it anymore.

Tucks pads - DO NOT wipe your vagina or butt with toilet paper for the first several days or even a couple weeks post partum. It hurts! Tucks pads are like using baby wipes but they’re healing and refreshing!

Arnica tablets- I use this for the same reason I use arnica oil… arnica relieves pain! Take these orally!

Rael diapers - we need clean fragrance free diapers just like our babies do for that immediate pp! You DO NOT want artificial fragrance & chemicals on your perineum while it’s trying to heal.

This book is full of everything you need to know about pregnancy & childbirth… natural style. 🙌🏼

It’s full of the facts, statistics, tips, recipes, & more! I’ve read this for info even now during my third pregnancy.
