Using yards of tape is not great for the environment plus it’s time consuming, cutting in is not very beginner friendly, but a razor... A razor requires zero skill, minimal effort and the process is extremely satisfying 💁‍♀️

Would you have kept the original trim, or installed a new style ??

The Victorian style trim was beautiful but too busy and grand looking for my 1960s split level home.

The new trim I've chosen is still ornamental but a lot more sleek and should hopefully trick the eye into thinking my ceilings are taller than they are!

Can you believe this handy painting tool is less than $4?!

I saved so much time using this to prime my walls. Corners are always a little tedious but this tool paints both sides at the same time, with no brush strokes.

Bonus point: you can use the tool to feather out your edges in one smooth sweep, making for a perfect paint job! 🙌
