I was fully expecting to pick a winner… but I couldn’t.

I’ve been using Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara for years, so I was skeptical when Maybelline Sky High Tubing Mascara launched. Since it’s about half the price, I had to see if it could really compare.

For this test, I used my favorite L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Primer with both mascaras to keep things as fair as possible.

Here’s my verdict:
Both gave me beautiful length and definition.
Both stayed put throughout the day.
Both removed easily without the mess of traditional mascara.

The biggest difference I noticed? Thrive came off just a little easier, but honestly, both performed so well that I couldn’t choose a favorite.

If you’ve been thinking about trying a tubing mascara, I don’t think you can go wrong with either one. Sometimes a lower price doesn’t mean sacrificing performance.
