Spring 2026

By Dianne_InStyle

My 2026 Spring and Summer looks!

The outfit is all centered around the crocheted flowers on the sweater. Because it is rather bold, it really needs to be thoughtfully put together.

Because your eye is drawn to the flowers (and that’s where I want them to go), I made everting else minimal as to not distract. That includes everything- my jewelry, shoes AND handbag.

There are still several weeks left of summer outfits, even thought fall fashion is calling!

My sweater is still available from @macys Yau can wear it with jeans through early fall!

Let’s give summer one last hoorah!

I’ve curated a collection of colored blazers in both summer and fall colors (including this great green color). Pick the color that you love and make it great! A colored blazers might be one of the most versatile pieces in your closet.
Today's starting point was these bold polka dot pants.

They're definitely a statement piece, but I love pairing them with a simple black top so the pants can do all the talking.

Sometimes the pieces that seem the hardest to wear end up becoming your favorites once you find the right combination.

Since this is from my closet, the exact pieces aren’t available- but I pulled similar pieces so you can recreate the look.

Would you wear this outfit?

If you're shopping for a dress right now, don't just shop for summer.

I bought this dress specifically with the transition to fall in mind. Because at this point in the season, I want anything new I buy to work now and later.

For me, that means looking at three things: color, fabric and versatility.
The print and lightweight fabric work perfectly for summer with sandals and sunglasses, but the deeper colors can easily move into early fall. Add a denim jacket, sneakers and a richer accessory, and the same dress suddenly feels completely different.

My late-summer shopping test? Can I wear it for the weather I'm dressing for now AND style it for the season that's coming next?

If the answer is yes, that's a dress with considering.

For years we were told our shoes and handbags had to match perfectly.

Today...

Fashion gives us a lot more freedom.

Instead of asking,

"Do these match?"

Try asking,

"Do they coordinate?"

A few things I look for:

✨ Similar level of polish

✨ Colors that work together

✨ Details that make the outfit feel intentional

The result is a look that's polished without feeling too "matchy-matchy”

And the best part?

If you still love matching your shoes and handbag...go for it.

Style should feel like you, not like a rulebook.

A monochrome look, especially in lighter shades, is the perfect summer look. And I love that this sweater can be worn two unique ways.

The discount code expired on July 22nd, but both these pieces are so affordable!

A 2-piece set is perfect to wear from August into September. Especially this one from @Chicwish

Let’s start with the color - a gorgeous mint green. A great transitional color. The fabric is light but heavy enough to keep you warm on cooler nights. But, of course, with all two piece sets, they can be worn separately just as easily.

If you’re looking to pick up something new this month, this is a great set to add to cart!

This is my most favorite recent find from @gapstyle and I wanted to share why. It has all the features I am looking for in a dress and the colors make it perfect as well transition into fall. I think the graphic speaks for itself!
It may still feel like summer, but this is actually one of my favorite times to think about getting dressed.

Why? Because the best transitional wardrobes don't happen overnight.

They happen by making a few thoughtful choices before the weather changes.

The good news is you don't need an entirely new wardrobe. A few strategic additions and a fresh way of looking at the pieces you already own can take your favorite summer outfits right into early fall.

I'll admit it...when I first heard capri pants were making a comeback, I wasn't convinced either.

But once I started styling them, I realized something...

It wasn't the capri pants that looked dated; it was the way we were wearing them.

Instead of defaulting back to the way you used to wear them, consider this:

✔️ Look for a pair that hits around the middle of your calf, not at the widest part.

✔️ If you're petite, a high-rise style can help create the illusion of longer legs.

✔️ Both high-rise and mid-rise styles work for tall women. A wide-leg style also looks great on tall women as they can handle the extra volume.

✔️ If you're trying capris again for the first time, start with a monochromatic outfit. It's an easy way to make the look feel polished and modern.

✔️ Don't overlook your shoes! Pointed flats, slingbacks, and low heels instantly update the look.

Will you try capri pants again?

Target for the win!

If you are looking for a quick add to your summer wardrobe, this is it. This is a two-piece set that you can purchase each piece separately (perfect if you are two different sizes) and you can wear each piece separately too!

It’s a great color with wonderful eyelet details. Because of the color and the details, I kept my accessories neutral so the outfit is the star!
Workwear: Try a New Shade of Blue This Summer

Light blue is one of the biggest color trends this summer, and I’m seeing it everywhere. It's a great change from your traditional navy blue for the office.

From soft powder blue to brighter sky blue, there’s a version for almost everyone. The key is finding the shade that works best for you, your style, and your workplace.

This week, I’m sharing three ways to wear light blue to the office:

Look 1: Traditional & Polished
A light blue pantsuit feels fresh for summer while still looking professional and powerful. This is a great option if your office leans more toward the traditional or corporate side.

Look 2: Soft & Sophisticated
A brighter blue dress offers a different take on the trend. If pale blue isn’t your best shade, don’t assume this trend isn’t for you. Sometimes a richer or more saturated blue is even more flattering.

Look 3: Casual & Creative
If your office is more relaxed, don’t overlook a shorts set.
Styled thoughtfully, it can look polished, modern, and completely work-appropriate in the right environment.

The takeaway?

You don’t have to wear the exact trend as shown. Take the inspiration and make it work for you.

That’s always where great style starts.
