I don’t love cleaning and ever since we had a kid, it’s been too hard to schedule everyone being out of the house for hours for a cleaning service.

So this is my favorite easy cleaning method for hard floors. Vacuum them and then use the mop feature and mop them. Boom.

I use water and a few drops of branch basics so I know the floor is safe from toxic chemicals.

I’ve purchased 4 different ottomans this past year because we finished our basement which is also my kiddos play space. I recently switched my office to a reading room and needed some ottomans that could double as chairs, which means they couldn’t be like poufs I’d been buying for seats while playing on the ground.
This was was under $70, such a pretty fabric and details, and I can feel good of my kiddo falls and hits his head because it’s firm but soft at the same time. 🙌🏻

I wasn’t expecting much from a pre-assembled, folding desk but I can say it’s perfect! Sometimes I need a desk, and sometimes where I need the desk changes based on where the kiddo is, lighting, etc.
This foldable desk comes in multiple colors, is the perfect height, and ticks away so quickly. I bought a storage ottoman as a chair and it tucks under it perfectly too!
And just like that, I have an office again if I need it.

My husband bought me this pearled candle that you can add to any container (I got a marble decorative bowl for mine) and the sandy pearls come in tons of colors. It is such an interesting concept! You can switch out the bowl, refill old candle vessels with the pearls, it looks like sand, and you can use the wick for 12 hours before replacing it.
The scents are strong enough that you smell them but according to the packaging, they’re free from chemicals I typically try to avoid.

I found this air fryer at target and took a chance on it! I’ve been using it now for a couple months and wanted to share it with you bc it’s been great!
It’s got glass bottoms that are like large Tupperware with handles so the food is heated in glass. There is a large bowl and a smaller bowl.

You can bake things, air fry, make extra crispy depending on the setting you use.

Once done, you can serve the food straight from the glass bowl and when down, it has a lid you can use to store it for leftovers.

The best part though is that the bowls can go straight into the dishwasher!!!!! The easiest one to clean I’ve ever seen.

If you’re looking for an inexpensive way to decrease exposure for your kiddos to things that can disrupt development, this fun water filter is a great option. Especially for chlorine, which is a halogen and can disrupt thyroid function…which is essential for growth.

We officially have 2 of these mattresses in our house now! Our first purchase of the low tox mattress was about 5 years ago and there was no plush option so we got a topper. This time around we went for the plush and it’s always crazy to me how something so big and heavy shrinks down into a bag for delivery!

We spend a huge amount of time sleeping and that’s when our body repairs, produces hormones, etc and especially for a small child that is developing, you want to avoid toxins that may be coming from your mattress materials that impacts hormones and neurodevelopment.

This is the best mattress I’ve found that’s clean for the price!

Did you know that humans spend about 26 years of our lives sleeping?!

And yet, the thing we sleep on, aka a mattress, is typically made with very volatile chemicals and they emit an off-gassing of VOCs when you sleep. VOCs are things like formaldehyde, benzene, and toluene. Better yet, they contain flame retardants. It’s similar to the idea of that “new car smell.” …that smell is chemicals!

If you’re going to buy a toxic mattress, I suggest leaving it somewhere you don’t frequent for a few weeks before sleeping on it, especially if it came to you vacuum sealed. A majority of heavy off-gassing happens in the days and weeks after it is opened.

If you’re ready (or in the market for a new mattress like I was!) I encourage you to find an organic, non-toxic mattress.

I bought a @happsysleep and this is NOT an ad, and I spent my own hard-earned money. I ended up getting the topper because it was a wee bit too firm for the hubby without it!
