If you have a pool, listen up! The mix of pool water and patio flooring can sometimes be a slippery mix. Even with a textured finish on our patio, we were slipping and sliding when we got out of the pool. It took me months to find a non-slip commercial grade mat that wasn’t ugly! This one looks really elevated and also serves the safety purpose. It also comes in different colors and sizes as well.

Nothing has shocked me more than these custom Amazon curtains because not only are they STUNNING but as far as custom drapes go, you can NOT beat the price of these. I also have them mounted on the ceiling (and added a blackout liner) which means my room get SO dark and I could sleep for 12 hours straight!

Wall sconces can make your bedroom feel like a fancy hotel but they can be costly (especially if you need to hire an electrician to install them). These sconces help curb the price while still looking like a million bucks. You can’t be two of them for $50

I took me weeks but I found an aesthetic ceiling fan because let’s be honest, some people just can’t live without a ceiling fan but they’re almost always so ugly! We have recessed lighting in our bedroom, so it wasn’t necessary to have a fan with a light (but they do offer options with a light) and it does make the visual impact much less intense. We opted to go with white so that it blended in well with the ceiling.

Best cleaning hack ever! This @ryobitoolsusa power washer shocked me when I used it to clean my outdoor cushions that were practically RUINED (if you’ve followed desert-ratgate you know). I wasn’t planning on keeping these cushions BUT after seeing how incredible this washer was and how clean I could actually get them I’m wondering if they’re now salvageable?! Stop buying expensive lattes! This little espresso maker will replace your coffee pot or Starbucks lattes in a heartbeat and it’s under $50! Don’t get me wrong I LOVE an iced latte from a coffee shop but there are times when I spend way too much money on them. This Italian espresso maker makes unbelievable espresso and it’s actually a hybrid of the smooth flavor of coffee with the punch of espresso. I can’t explain how delicious it is! If you’re a coffee lover you need this in your life ASAP. I would also highly recommend an electric tea kettle since you do need to heat up the water before you put it on the stove and I’ve linked one here!

$Want affordable custom curtains!? I have found the BEST solution for beautiful custom drapes at a fraction of the cost of what you’d get anywhere else. I would highly recommend ordering the fabric swatch sample booklet before ordering because there are so many variations of colors that you’re going to want to see them in your space. I initially ordered these in light Khaki (with the tailor pleat) but had to reorder them :( in Taupe Grey because the original color pulled a bit more yellow in this south facing room. I also have them in Burlywood Birch in my dining room and I LOVE that color! They are custom, so you can’t return them if the color is off but they are so affordable. Another tip, we ordered the blackout lining and while it’s amazing, they are VERY heavy. So make sure you’re using all of the support possible (preferably using studs) when you’re hanging your new curtains. We also ordered this curtain rod to the back of our two front panels to help us close the curtains without having to touch them with our hands all of the time! I decided to go with desert luxury when I designed this room. I love organic modern bedrooms but wanted this main bedroom to have a bit more of a dressier twist on it! I love a bedroom makeover!!!! I’ve listed some of the best bedding I’ve purchased for the house below. The mattress firm down comforter is a more winter comforter and is super warm! The Amazon down comforter is more of an all seasons option if someone sleeps hot. I also linked my favorite sheets. The west elm Tencel sheets can not be beat unless you get the Skye sheets go on super sale (sometimes they go on sale for $50! So favorite this post to get notified when they do). Speaking of mattress firm, this mattress is by far my favorite mattress ever and sleeps plush with a good amount of support! If you’re looking to recreate this art, I purchased the same artwork twice and just flipped one. It’s a great hack to fill up a space without buying an expensive large piece of art!

The dry winter air is no joke especially in the Joshua Tree desert! My dry skin demands so much more hydration than normal, and recently I’ve been obsessed with these two moisturizing products! Bethany Frankel send me the L’Oréal midnight moisturizer as a PR gift and I can not say enough good things about it. Bethany was right when she said that it felt like a $500 skin cream! I also love their serum! And I have talked about my lip balm obsession with Olio e Osso for years! They made the most luxurious balms and hydrating sticks in the game!
