Fall Trends - Transparency and lace. This trend started last year and is still going strong. Muted colors, sheer layers and strategically placed jackets or knits. Pretty silk with lace trim layered with chunky knits or structured blazers. This trend is about contrasts, layering and playing with proportions.

Fall trends - leather & suede. Another great transitional trend that you can start incorporating into your wardrobe now before it gets too cold. Swap your leather biker jacket for a chic suede shirt jacket instead. Fisherman sandals, suede ankle boots and slip on mules and mini hobo bags are also top of the wish list. A suede belt is a must have in khaki, tan or add a pop of red!

Leopard & stripes, two ‘neutrals’ that go together. You may have noticed leopard print is everywhere at the moment. I would say it’s back but it never really goes away. I have friends that wear leopard every day as it’s part of their DNA and then there are people like me who won’t do leopard RTW but I’m happy to break out the leopard accessories every few years. As witnessed here with my (very old) J crew mary Jane’s from about 10 years ago! When I saw the new leopard mesh ballets (the Landon) from Loeffler Randall sell out in 24 hours I knew I had better invest in another pair quickly… here are my picks for leopard shoes that are still available, get them before they all go as this trend isn’t going anywhere for fall.
