Tuesdays allow me the space to dream, be creative, clean, do chores, film, email, pray, write… all the things. 5 years ago we would shoot for my fashion blog together on this square. She helped me run The Cake Shop and The Cake Media ALL because she commented on an IG live asking if I was looking for an assistant. One coffee (for me because she crazyyyy and doesn’t drink coffee) + a love for Jesus and mutual obsession for Gilmore Girls later… she became part of my life for good. And now the tables are TURNED as she launches her own shop. I got to sit back and swap places tonight and shoot pics for HER tee shop. Ya won’t wanna miss what collab we have up our sleeves.

What a difference a year makes. This journey to launching Cadence all the way through our first year has been from multiple years of prayer and hard work. From our first date 11 years ago when Paul told me his dreams to the last 4 years of laboring and birthing this baby we call Cadence, it’s all been worth it. Disappointments and mountain tops, but literally the most wild and fun adventure our family has ever been on. I cannot say enough about my husband and the way he pours into this church. 80+ hour work weeks but also the most engaged dad and husband at home when he walks through our doors. He’s steady and constant, and he always points me and our kids back to why and what we are called to.

Here’s to the rest of our lives serving this city and the amazing people who make up what is now our church. Year one we saw 42 salvations and loads of people find purpose through biblical teaching and community to do life with in small groups all across the area. It’s the most life giving, purpose filled adventure and I’m just grateful god chose us for some crazy reason.

Spent my day shopping and doing some of my favorite things and thought I was going on a special date with my main squeeze… to find my very BFFs sitting at the table when I arrived to dinner. I am so thankful for every year of life and every new season. This year feels like the word fulfillment.
