We’ve had it for a year and a half and it looks brand new despite being in a very high traffic area…the most high traffic area in our home actually. Trust me, this rug has seen its share of spills and they have all come out beautifully.

Lake House Progress | The entryway at the lake has really come together over the last couple of days. We have sconces that need to be hung and I will switch out the boxes for a lamp at some point but it is feeling far more complete.

Lake House | Mini Install Day
Several decorative objects arrived over the last couple of weeks and I’m so excited to start placing everything. It is always so fun to see how adding a simple vase, small greenery and a stack of books can breathe life into a room.

Half Past Seven launched their new smaller size of their best selling vase…introducing the Petite Lettuce Leaf Vase. I’ve used ours several times and it makes creating a small arrangement so easy because the rippled design allows for flowers to simply fall into place. Select one type of flower, cut them high up on the stem and let them fall into the vase. It’s that simple! (Tulips look AMAZING.)

Family Lake House Progress: The room that is coming together the quickest is the family room. It was important to the family to prioritize this space as it is where we will all be spending the most time together (when inside). After spending our first weekend there, it became clear that the lounge chair is everyone’s favorite place to sit…our daughter actually likes to curl up underneath it as if it’s a teen tiny fort. 🤍

I spent the day at the lake yesterday accepting several deliveries. It’s looking like we can officially retire using our camping chairs inside next week because we will have finally have barstools, chairs and the sectional. Our family room rug is part of Wayfair’s “Way Day” sale and the price is incredible. The 9x12 is less than $300…$268 to be exact! I read it three times just to be sure that was reading it correctly. It’s an indoor/outdoor rug and after months in a high traffic area, shows not one sign of wear. Cannot recommend it enough!
