A few Walmart finds for me at 4 months postpartum. I’m in that weird in-between stage where I don’t really want to spend a lot on clothes yet, but I’m also ready to stop living in the same few stained T-shirts every day. I still need things to be comfortable and practical since I’m up and down with the baby all day, so these felt like good easy pieces for this season without spending much.

Wanted to love these so bad because the style is genuinely really cute and they actually feel well made, but the sizing was very off for me. I ordered a large and they were literally skin tight, so I would definitely need an XL or even XXL to make them work. Posting them here in case anyone’s interested because I do think they have potential, but I personally think they run small and would be really careful with sizing.

Going through my pre-pregnancy clothes lately has been a little humbling, if I’m being honest. I have one pile that definitely doesn’t fit and another that is so far off it’s almost funny.

I think that part of postpartum has been harder than I expected — not even just that my body looks different, but realizing I can’t keep measuring myself against the version of me that existed before all of this.

Anyway, sharing these shorts because they actually feel good on my body right now. They have a little more length than I normally would’ve gone for before, but they’re comfortable, flattering, and have a good amount of stretch, which is very appreciated at this stage.

A little real-life mom moment from our safari park day. It ended up being time for Ollie’s bottle while we were on the safari ride, so we figured out how to feed him while he stayed in the carrier and honestly it worked out so well. One of those outings that reminded me you can still do fun things with a baby, even if you have to adjust on the fly a little.
