Empty nester advice: We highly recommend tagging on a few days to a family vacation for just the two of you! We booked this stay as soon as @addisonswonderland mentioned that she would be renting out her gorgeous apartment in Antibes, France. We knew we wanted to visit this sweet little town & it was a dream come true to also stay in her airbnb! This town in the south of France has our hearts! We love absolutely everything about it & spent our entire 3 days there planning a return visit & a longer stay! Maybe next year for our 30th Anniversary?! A few people asked about our bed frame, bed & bedding after we recently updated our primary bedroom. We are still loving our @thuma bed & @saatva mattress & @gokotta.us bamboo sheets we bought for ourselves a few years ago! When we updated our room we cleared everything out so we could deep clean the entire room and change out our rug. Luckily our @thuma bed frame is easy to take apart and put back together! Only 2 screws in the entire bed. Love the gorgeous Japanese joinery on the bed and the simple modern design. The @saatva mattress is organic and comfortable and gives us peace of mind and our most comfortable restorative sleep. The @gokotta.us sheets are bamboo, so soft and cooling and my favorite sheets EVER! It’s official! After a month with our Mellow pillows and blanket we are sleeping better, longer and more comfortably than we have in years! We also wake up with Brandy in our bed every day! Have you oven dried your own citrus slices? 🍊🍋🍋‍🟩 Would you? Want to dry your own?! Comment citrus for recipe we used! Here is the recipe we used - perfect for a day you are hanging around the house watching Christmas movies! Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Top with thin orange, lemon, & lime slices in a single layer. Bake until the peels are dry and the flesh is translucent, about 2 1/2 hours. We were inspired by our trip to Chicago and our seat at the bar @cindysrooftop to make our own oven dried citrus fruit this holiday season. We wanted it primarily for our bar set up but also had fun using them as decor, in our centerpieces, & at our place settings. Did two settings of this table- one with bells & red berries earlier this week & this one with orange slices.
