Presenting my Enchanted Forest Tablescape: When I was a little girl I had an island in the middle of a brook in the forest where I spent countless hours creating a "home" in nature. As a mom of 3 girls I encouraged them to play outside & build fairy houses out of things they found on our hikes & escapades. Creating this tablescape from all things found outside at this time of year felt like a return to my roots, literally.

Step by step directions for how we installed our new stair runner from @thecarpetworkroom at the lake!
Love this runner and how it provides us with a beautiful and safer staircase. I had fun teaching my husband the steps to installing our own stair runner since I got to practice at KT's first. He said KT & 1 made it look too easy but he enjoyed the install after taking a break for a snack! & Only caveat was starting on a Friday at 5:00 with both daylight and energy fading.

Like the kids, the bunk room at the lake is growing up! No one wanted to sleep in the top bunk anymore - too hot, nowhere to plug in their phone, you know 1st world problems!
We tried unbunking them but the room felt crowded and the footboards didn't work as these adult "kids" are taller now. Still want to be able to sleep 3 in this room and this solution allows us to do so! Same layout but the smaller footprint beds with no footboards make the room feel so much more spacious! Plus love our new side table from @vasaglefurniture so much that we got 2 of them! Now one makes the perfect bedside table in this room!
Still love the oar bedding for summer but on the look out for something different for fall/winter...

It's about to be a heatwave!! We got our favorite blown up just in time! Everyone's favorite lake float from kids to adults, including grandparents!
