My youngest daughter just got back from a semester abroad in Europe and took photographs of all her adventures & places she traveled. These magnets are so much more than the pretty pictures she took! Empty nester advice: We highly recommend tagging on a few days to a family vacation for just the two of you! We booked this stay as soon as @addisonswonderland mentioned that she would be renting out her gorgeous apartment in Antibes, France. We knew we wanted to visit this sweet little town & it was a dream come true to also stay in her airbnb! This town in the south of France has our hearts! We love absolutely everything about it & spent our entire 3 days there planning a return visit & a longer stay! Maybe next year for our 30th Anniversary?! The streets, the views, the quaint squares, the shops, the restaurants, long walks along the ocean, views of snow capped mountains, absolutely everything! Explore Lisbon, Portugal with us! From the beautiful tiled buildings to the hilly cobblestone streets made from mosaic patterns of handcut white limestone and black basalt. We stayed in the Alfama district with lots of restaurants nearby, walked the waterfront, saw Praca do Comercio, Shopped Avenida da Liberdade, visited St. George’s Castle. The view from the castle is amazing + lots of peacocks roaming the grounds! Loved Dear Breakfast. Explored Parque Eduardo VII. If we had more time friends recommended day trips to Sintra & Porto.

Come explore Nice, France with us! Love this town in the South of France right on the Mediterranean! Tips: stay in the Old Town (Vieux Nice), stroll the Promenade des Anglais, walk up to the Colline du Chateau. Everything is very walkable! We did 28K steps in one day ~ coffee shops, sights, the beach, shopping, cocktails in the square & delicious dinners. Took the train to Monaco for a late afternoon too and came back to Nice for dinner. One regret? Leaving that artwork from the market behind! Still can’t stop thinking about her!

Sneak peek of our 13 day trip to Europe as empty nesters! We picked up our kids for 8 days & did France, Spain & Portugal with them. Then we stayed on for 4 extra days just the two of us! Can’t wait to share the highlights & Airbnb’s where we stayed along the way ~ if you know me you know I have to stay somewhere cute! 10/10 highly recommend adventuring through Europe! Last time I backpacked through Europe I was in college!
