I’m 52 and there’s something inside me that just won’t let me “give up”!

Aging presents a multitude of challenges both physically and mentally along with societal pressures to look a certain way.

I’m not interested in looking younger… I just want to look good…. And be the best version of myself. Do you know what I mean?

I have a vision of myself at 80 and I want to be that stylish old gal who always looks put together and wears a smile on her face! I want to be independent and healthy too. So looking after myself now is really important.

I like the way the black turtleneck and black wool coat break up the denim (aka Canadian tuxedo)

You may notice that I’ve worn this coat before… a number of times, in fact.
I like to get mileage out of my clothes and I tend to keep things for a long time.
That’s why classic styles work well for me. I love the look and they tend not to go out of style.

I love these dark wash wide leg jeans. They’re high rise and are really flattering around the midsection. They’re a bit long for me but I’m wearing boots with a heel so it works for this look.

The turtleneck is a short sleeve as I’d hate to get too hot with the blazer. All of these pieces are incredibly affordable!
