A bi-racial gal’s guide to straight hair. I use Kiehl’s silk groom before straightening with my trusty Remington flat iron and a classic Denman style brush. I always detangle first with a wide tooth comb from the bottom up to help prevent breakage. I seal the frizz with a hair balm and then go over again with the flat iron or style with a curling iron.

As someone who doesn’t really like to show my arms in the summer with tank tops and skinny strap dresses, I love this cropped linen shirt. It’s perfect for arm coverage. That means I can buy the spaghetti strap dress and wear this over it without feeling like I have like some sort of hot cardigan on.
