Just a favorite at the doctors office! We got a two pack for one for each kid, but then realized we needed a car option as well for things like this šŸ˜… love for early pre writing skills!

I saw these at my local baby boutique and knew I had to have it as a pediatric PT for my kids!

I was trying to tell a parent about the original Ms. Rachel surprise box because my 17mos old loves holding the bunny and bean bear, and I couldn’t believe they came out with a Sesame Street collab!

I love the surprise boxes for container play, but this one has so many ADLs like brushing teeth, getting dressed and feeding! AndI love that it also has a Ms. Rachel character as well as Elmo!

Both of my toddlers are obsessed! Do you already have this box? I would love to know how long it’s been out!

šŸ¦ Pediatric PT–approved play!

This Montessori-inspired ice cream scoop & sorting toy is one of my favorite PT picks for toddlers and preschoolers. Scooping and sorting the balls builds fine motor strength, hand-eye coordination, bilateral coordination, and early color sorting & counting skills, all through play.

As a pediatric physical therapist, I love toys like this that support developmental skills, encourage independent play, and strengthen those little hands without screens.

✨ Great for toddlers, preschoolers, and busy hands
✨ Supports pre-writing & functional hand skills
✨ Learning through play, the way it should be

Have questions? Just ask!

Day 18: Christmas gift ideas for kids from a pediatric PT.

Discovering silky crayons has been a game changer, but our original ones were getting all over. I was inspired by @occupationalemily to get some that didn’t leave marks on hands (or Emily was brave enough to do on her face).

But love these for my 3 year old AND my 16mos old for coloring and working on coordination skills without having to figure out the pressure part!

Day 16: Christmas Gift Ideas for Kids from a pediatric physical therapist!

We LOVE this picnic basket over here and have for YEARS. My oldest got it for her first Christmas I think and we did it as container play and she loved banging the pieces together. 3 years later and she still loves to set up picnics with it.

My 15mos old is working on the shape sorting part of it in the top of the basket and the plates.

Lots of fine motor skills, coordination, and pretend play in this one!

You can turn on the sounds too for extra sensory input when putting pieces in and out!

Don’t forget lalo is having their Black Friday sale and we LOVE our play kit! I love that baby sister can sit in it without worrying that she’s going to fall out of the sides. And she’s even starting to color!
