New from DRMTLGY and one I’ve been excited to share. 💋

The Needle-less® 4D Volumizing Lip Treatment has officially launched, and if you love the look of fuller, smoother lips but hate the burning/tingling of traditional lip plumpers, this is worth a try.

As an esthetician, I especially love that this is more than just a cosmetic plumper. It’s a peptide-powered treatment designed to help plump, define, smooth the appearance of vertical lip lines, and keep lips hydrated with zero sting. It gives my lips an instantly smoother-looking finish while still feeling comfortable enough to wear throughout the day, and the subtle pink tint + glossy finish makes it beautiful on its own or layered under your favorite lip color.

Soft glam, the bridal edition 🤍

A timeless bridal look with luminous, skin-like complexion, softly defined eyes, subtle sculpting, and a naturally enhanced lip.

My favorite kind of bridal makeup is makeup that photographs beautifully without looking overly done in person. Polished, refined, and still completely her.

✨ Makeup 101: when the goal is natural, polished & still completely YOU. Beautiful before and beautifully enhanced after.

My client wanted help toning and evening her complexion, including areas of melasma, while learning how to create a simple daytime makeup look she could recreate at home.

We also worked on fuller, more defined brows and techniques tailored specifically to her features.

The goal isn't to cover up who you are — it's to learn how to enhance what you already have. 🤍

That’s the beauty of a personalized makeup lesson. 💄

NEW DRMTLGY product! ✨

Esthetician-approved gentle exfoliation! In the couple of months I've been using these, the DRMTLGY FacialRX Pads have become one of my favorite ways to improve skin texture and boost radiance without overdoing it.

Instant glow with one use! Their 4X Smart Acid System combines lactic, mandelic, salicylic, and succinic acids, each with a specific role:

💙 Lactic Acid gently resurfaces while helping maintain hydration.
💙 Mandelic Acid refines texture and helps brighten uneven skin tone.
💙 Salicylic Acid penetrates pores to reduce congestion and minimize the look of blackheads.
💙Succinic Acid helps calm blemish-prone skin while supporting a healthier-looking complexion.

With consistent use, you'll notice smoother skin, refined-looking pores, a brighter complexion, and a softer, more even skin texture. They're especially great if you're dealing with dullness, post-breakout marks, or rough skin- my 14-year-old is starting to see results, too!

✨ Pro tip:
Normal/Dry Skin Type: 2–3 nights per week
Oily Skin Type: Work your way up to daily use

Always follow with a moisturizer (I use the FacialRX Brightening Moisturizer), and never skip your SPF the next morning. Healthy skin is all about consistency—not over-exfoliation.

Bridal trial glow ✨

A bridal trial is all about finding that sweet spot between looking like yourself and feeling beautifully elevated for the big day.

For this bride, we went with airbrush foundation for a lightweight, seamless finish that looks polished in person and photographs beautifully. I kept the complexion fresh and skin-like, with softly defined eyes using @MAC eyeshadows with one color (Glistening) from ABH Soft Glam palette on the lid, a delicate flush of color, and a natural rosy lip.

The goal isn’t to cover your skin; it’s to create a smooth, even canvas while still letting your natural features shine through. 🤍

Products and bridal beauty favorites are linked in my LTK. 🤍

Behind the scenes on a recent PBS KIDS shoot 🎬

This interview featured a mom sharing how Carl the Collector has positively impacted her daughter, who is autistic and deeply connects with Carl's character (also autistic). Representation matters, and it was inspiring to witness firsthand how meaningful that connection can be for families.

The makeup direction was simple: polished, natural, and camera-ready. My goal was to enhance her features while keeping the look authentic, comfortable, and true to who she is.

One of my favorite parts of working in film and television is helping real people feel confident while sharing stories that deserve to be heard. ✨

🦶 Don’t forget your feet!

If dry, rough, cracked heels are a year-round struggle, DRMTLGY Concentrated Foot Cream is one I highly recommend.

This is more than just a basic moisturizer—it’s an exfoliating foot treatment that helps soften rough, callused skin while replenishing moisture.

✨ Lactic Acid gently exfoliates and helps smooth rough texture
✨ Urea helps hydrate and soften dry, hardened skin
✨ Ceramides help support the skin’s moisture barrier
✨ Allantoin helps soothe and condition
✨ Peppermint gives it a fresh, invigorating feel

I especially love that it absorbs quickly without leaving your feet feeling greasy. Apply it generously to your heels, soles, and other dry areas, and use consistently for noticeably softer, smoother feet.

My esthetician tip? Make foot care part of your nighttime skincare routine. Your feet deserve the same attention you give the rest of your skin. 🤍

🎬 A little behind the scenes of life as a makeup artist on set…

This was one of those “only on a film set” moments - standing in front of an actual fire scene while keeping my actor camera-ready. 🔥

When I'm working on set, my job isn't just about making someone look good. It's about making sure their skin looks natural under the lights, makeup stays put between takes, and they're comfortable throughout a long production day.

And yes, I work with plenty of male actors, models, and clients. For men especially, my goal is usually “you, but better” - not makeup that looks like makeup.

A few of my on-set essentials:

🤍 Carpe Sweat Absorbing Face Lotion — one of my favorites for male talent, especially when we're dealing with heat, long days, nervous sweating, or heavy production lights. It helps control facial perspiration without making the skin look dry or overly matte.

🤍 RCMA Translucent Loose Powder — what I typically use during initial makeup application while my actor is seated. It sets the skin while keeping the finish natural.

🤍 RCMA or Kett Pressed Translucent Powder — my go-to for touch-ups once we're on set. A pressed powder is quick, convenient, and much easier to use when I'm working around wardrobe, lighting, equipment, and a moving actor.

The goal isn't to make an actor look powdered. It's to control shine, maintain the skin's natural texture, and make sure they look consistent from shot to shot.

🔥 And sometimes… there's literally fire involved.

#LTKdayinmylife #LTKActive #LTKMens

✨ What are my personal favorite cluster lashes AND what's in my pro makeup kit for my clients? ✨

If you love the look of lashes but want more control than you get with a traditional false lash strip, lash clusters are one of my favorite options.

My go-to lash styles are Ardell Naked Clusters paired with DUO White Lash Glue. I keep all lengths in my kit because they let me customize the look based on the person, eye shape, and desired level of drama.

🤍 Why I love clusters:

• You can customize the length and volume
• Create anything from soft + natural to fuller, more voluminous lashes
• Place them exactly where you want them for a more personalized look - over or under your lashes
• They photograph beautifully without necessarily looking overly “lashy”
• They are easier to put on when applying them to myself

One of my favorite things about doing makeup is that there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach. With clusters, I can build the lash exactly where it’s needed, rather than making one strip lash work for every eye.

And yes, my clients love them too. They've been in high demand this year vs. strip lashes.

Your perfect lip combo really can change the whole look. 💋

I came across this roundup of popular lipstick + lip liner combinations, and there are some great pairings here—from effortless everyday nudes to a classic red.

A few that caught my eye:

🤎 Nude Perfection — NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Nude Beige + Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution in Pillow Talk
A timeless, softly defined nude that works beautifully for an elevated everyday look.

🌹 Rosy Everyday — Maybelline Color Sensational in Dusty Rose + MAC Mehr
A pretty rosy combination when you want color without feeling too “done.”

🤎 Brownie Chic — Huda Beauty Lip Contour 2.0 in Warm Brown + Fenty Beauty Mocha Mami
Warm, rich and very current. Brown-toned lips are such a beautiful way to add definition while keeping the look sophisticated.

🍷 Berry Kiss — NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Plum + Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink in Voyager
For when you want something a little bolder while still being completely wearable.

🍑 Peachy Glow — ColourPop Lippie Pencil in BFF 2 + Dior Addict Lip Glow in Coral
Soft, fresh and perfect for a minimal makeup day.

❤️ Red Classic — MAC Lip Pencil in Ruby Woo + MAC Ruby Woo
You really can't go wrong with this iconic pairing. A defined red lip is timeless for a reason.

My professional makeup artist tip: the liner doesn't have to perfectly match your lipstick. I often use liner to shape, define, and subtly enhance the lips, then let the lipstick or gloss provide the actual color. A slightly deeper liner can also create beautiful dimension.

And always start with smooth, hydrated lips - lipstick will only look as good as the canvas underneath it.

✨ Which lip combo would you wear: nude, rosy, brown, berry, peach, or classic red?

I’ve linked the products/shades I could find on my LTK so you can shop the combinations and create your own perfect pout. 💋

Soft, polished & completely her. ✨

For this recent bridesmaid glam, the goal was to enhance her natural features while giving her just enough definition to photograph beautifully. We kept the complexion fresh and luminous, added softly defined eyes, a touch of warmth and color to the cheeks, and finished with a neutral lip.

I love how a few intentional details can completely change the overall look without making the makeup feel heavy or overdone.

The result? A polished, romantic look that still feels like her. 🤍

✨ Retinol isn’t just for your face.✨

Two affordable drugstore body-care finds I recommend for smoother, softer-looking skin: Gold Bond Retinol Overnight Body & Face Lotion + Gold Bond Crepe Corrector Hand Lotion.

As an esthetician, I love incorporating targeted body care into an overall skincare routine—especially for areas like the hands, arms, and décolleté that can show texture and loss of firmness over time.

The Retinol Body Lotion helps hydrate, smooth skin texture, and improve the appearance of firmness with consistent use. And for hands, Gold Bond Crepe Corrector is formulated specifically to moisturize and improve the look of dry, crepey skin, leaving hands looking smoother and more youthful.

✔️ Dermatologist & esthetician approved
✔️ Affordable drugstore options
✔️ Hydrates dry skin
✔️ Helps smooth the appearance of texture
✔️ Helps improve the look of firmness and crepiness
✔️ Easy to incorporate into your routine

And as always, consistency matters. These aren't overnight fixes, but with regular use over several weeks, you can start to see a noticeable difference in how smooth, hydrated, and healthy-looking your skin appears.

Your face isn't the only place that deserves a good skincare routine. 🤍

The right blush can bring the entire makeup look to life. ✨

Blush is one of those products that seems simple, but the shade, undertone, and finish can make a huge difference in how natural and flattering it looks on your skin.

This roundup includes some longtime favorites and a few newer formulas worth exploring:

🌸 NARS Blush in Orgasm — probably one of the most requested blushes I hear about from clients. The peachy-pink tone with a subtle golden sheen gives that beautiful “lit from within” flush without looking overly sparkly. It’s a classic for a reason.

🍑 MAC Powder Blush in Melba — another client favorite and one I reach for often when I want a soft, warm peachy-beige flush. It gives the cheeks warmth and definition while still looking incredibly natural.

💗 Clinique Cheek Pop in Pansy Pop — a pretty option for fair to light skin tones when you want a fresh, cool-toned pink.

🍊 Tower 28 BeachPlease in Tower Hour — perfect for that fresh, dewy, cream-blush look.

✨ Patrick Ta Major Headlines in She’s Blushing — beautiful for a more polished, dimensional cheek.

🌹 Rare Beauty Soft Pinch in Bliss or Joy — highly pigmented, so a little goes a long way. These are great if you like a more modern, diffused flush.

🍓 Milk Makeup Bionic Blush in Spritz — another pretty option when you want a fresh, juicy-looking cheek.

And for deeper skin tones, shades like Fenty Drama Cla$$, Juvia’s Place Doux, and NARS Foreplay can create gorgeous richness and contrast.

My makeup artist tip: Don't choose blush based solely on your skin depth. Your undertone + the overall look you're creating matter just as much. And remember, blush should look like a natural flush, not a stripe of color sitting on top of the skin.

I've linked these popular blushes on my LTK if you're looking to find your next favorite. Which one is already in your makeup bag? 💄

✨ One cleanser. Twenty years. Zero regrets.

As a licensed esthetician, I've tried countless cleansers over the years, yet this has remained a staple - Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel. It's been a part of my skincare arsenal and skincare routine for over 20 years.

Why I love it:

✔️ Soap-free formula that cleanses without stripping your skin
✔️ Naturally foaming with Quillaja Saponaria (Soapbark Extract) to gently lift away impurities
✔️ Balm Mint and Lavender help calm and refresh the skin
✔️ Leaves skin feeling clean, balanced, and comfortable—not tight or dry
✔️ Suitable for nearly every skin type, making it one of my favorite recommendations for clients

💚 Bonus: Dermalogica now offers a refill pouch, which costs less than purchasing a new pump bottle while also using 75% less plastic. Simply refill your existing bottle, save money, and reduce waste—a win for your skincare routine and the environment.

When clients ask me for a cleanser that's effective, gentle, and dependable, this is still one of my first recommendations after two decades.

Choosing the right makeup starts with knowing your undertone—not just your skin tone. ✨

Not sure where you fall?

🤍 Cool: Pink, rosy, or blue undertones. Silver jewelry tends to be most flattering.

💛 Warm: Golden, peachy, or yellow undertones. Gold jewelry usually complements your skin beautifully.

🤎 Neutral: A balanced mix of warm and cool, giving you flexibility across many foundation shades and makeup colors.

💚 Olive: Green, golden, or muted undertones that can sometimes appear slightly gray. Olive skin often needs specially formulated shades to avoid looking too pink or too orange.

Understanding your undertone makes foundation matching, concealer selection, blush, bronzer, lipstick, and even clothing colors so much easier. Save this guide for your next beauty shopping trip, and browse my favorite complexion products here to help you find your perfect match. 💄✨

👀 STOP SCROLLING... I may have found one of the best luxury makeup lookalikes.

If you've been eyeing Armani's iconic Eye Tint in Cashew but don't want to spend luxury prices, meet e.l.f.'s Liquid Velvet Eyeshadow in Beige & Boujee. ✨

Are they identical? No.
Do they create a VERY similar, effortless, soft champagne-beige eye? Absolutely.

Here's the breakdown:

✨ Armani = ultra-lightweight, seamless blending, luxe finish, incredible wear.
✨ e.l.f. = beautiful color payoff, easy to apply, and an amazing value for the price.

As a makeup artist, I don't believe every product has to be expensive to look beautiful. Sometimes it's worth splurging, and sometimes the affordable option delivers way more than you'd expect.

If you love quick, one-and-done eyeshadow looks that make you look polished in under a minute, both of these deserve a spot on your radar.

🤍 Save this for your next Ulta, Sephora or Target trip.

🛍️ Shop both through my LTK to compare them side-by-side and decide which one fits your budget.

As an esthetician, I'm always looking for products that support a healthy skin barrier without overcomplicating a routine—and the Caudalie Grape Water Mist is one I consistently reach for. 🍇💧

Unlike a traditional facial mist, this formula is made with 100% organic grape water, naturally rich in antioxidants, minerals, and prebiotic properties to help hydrate, soothe, and support the skin's microbiome. It's especially beneficial for skin that feels dehydrated, sensitized, tight, or flushed.

I love using it:
✨ Immediately after cleansing to replenish hydration
✨ Between skincare layers to help products absorb more comfortably
✨ Before makeup for a fresh, hydrated canvas
✨ Throughout the day to refresh the skin without disrupting makeup and perfect for a skin refresh on the beach

It's a simple addition to almost any skincare routine, but one that can make a noticeable difference in how your skin feels—especially if you're focused on maintaining a healthy, resilient skin barrier.

The Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette in Universal Glow is one of the most versatile products I own. While it's known as a highlighter palette, I use it for so much more than just the high points of the face.

✨ Apply to the tops of the cheekbones for a lit-from-within glow.

✨ Tap onto the eyelids as a topper to instantly elevate any eye look.

✨ Use the pink and gold shades as a luminous blush topper.

✨ Add a touch to the inner corners of the eyes and brow bone for brightness.

✨ Dust lightly across the collarbones and shoulders for special events.

✨ Mix shades for a customized glow that never looks flat or one-dimensional.

What I love most is that the finish looks radiant rather than glittery, making it perfect for everyday wear or full glam. It's one of those products that earns its space in both my professional makeup kit and my personal makeup bag.
