🫣 Vulnerability time 👀 This summer, my eyes went through it. I had a reaction that left me with puffiness, deep wrinkles, and lines that honestly made me feel embarrassed and discouraged. I rise and she glow not because life is perfect, but because I’ve learned to find purpose in the mundane of the quiet routines, the coffee-fueled prayers, the school chaos, the after-school treadmill miles runs, and the boys group chats. My school life keeps my heart beating with simple joys that keep my soul steady. Slowly I am rediscovering who I am as an empty nester mom one ordinary day at a time. My day is no longer filled with loads of laundry, endless activities, and extra noise around the house. I used to worry that once they were grown, I wouldn’t know what my purpose was anymore. But now I see it so clearly: My purpose is still to be their mom, just in a new way. To support them, pray for them, cheer them on from a little farther away. And maybe, just maybe, to be a light for other moms walking through the same season, reminding them they’re not alone and there’s still so much beauty ahead - that she too will RISE AND GLOW too!
