What lies beneath. 🦈

We did some mystery water / shark find in the water table today. It’s amazing how a little bit of water can turn into hours of fun.

For real thought this mystery water is not as easy as it looks. I ended up going with metallic tempera paint because the cornstarch didn’t look glittery enough. It took about 3 bottles of paint to actually get it opaque in the water table.

The way my son is o see with this documentary is adorable and a bit strange. When I say we watch it throughout the year, I mean he requests it weekly. I sometimes have to disappoint him because his sister is terrified of sharks.

It’s Shark Week! 🦈

This is my son’s favorite week of the year! He is a shark fanatic so we’re just leaning into it. I always assumed I’d have dinosaur kids but they’re all about the ocean. It’s all about Megaladon (monster trucks are a close second), great whites, reef sharks and on and on.

Here’s everything we’re reading for shark week.

Little Man is all about facts so having a shark encyclopedia is very exciting. The only problem is me losing my voice reading through each page! Baby Shark is the only shark my little one can stomach so that’s for her to sing along. There’s also the coolest anatomy book to explore every inch of a great white.

This is the best shark game / gift for any shark lover. The kids play it together and by themselves! The shock value is great every time and it’s easy for the kids to setup on their own.
