Little House On the Prairie 🩷
… I think the time is perfect to reread these, I’m sensing a LHOTP revival: there’s a new remake in the works at Netflix, I’ve seen it popping up as a theme on social media more lately and even a LHOTP joke on next week’s ’And Just Like That’… and, in general, maybe we are all just craving a return to basics?

My sister recently read these to my nephew & nieces and that prompted me to reread (I’m listening to on Libby). I’m enjoying even more than I did as a kid tbh! I’ve just finished ‘The Long Winter’ (#6), I’m so enjoying. 🩷

… and liking so far! Hearing amazing things from a few friends that have already read - is it on your list?!

Tbh, I did really enjoy Daisy Jones but was meh on Evelyn Hugo (I think I’m the only person I know that didn’t love it?!). Malibu is still in my TBR and I never got to the tennis one. So I’m curious to see where I met out on this one!

‘Blue Christmas’: just finished (4th I think) re-read on Audible. Such a fun, colorful story that a friend recommended to me for a holiday season road trip listen a few years back. I’ve re-read / listened every year since. Short and sweet!

‘Holiday Romance’: currently mid-listen on Audible for the 3rd read. Discovered this book 2 years ago and read / listen annually now. This author is not hyped enough (but I have a feeling she’s about to be!), her characters’ heart and winter banter is unmatched. If you enjoy, her ‘Snowed In’ published last year and is standalone but adjacent and in same world as ‘Holiday Romance’. I think I’d say ‘Holiday Romance’ is my current fave holiday book of all - I feel / hope we may see a movie version some day!

‘A Holiday Cottage’: just started (in book format). Not far into but enjoying so far!

Personal faves: I love books illustrated by the illustrator of ‘Where’s the Witch?’ and ‘Peekaboo Pumpkin’, ‘Gustavo the Shy Ghost’ is sweet and I recently read ‘Room on the Broom’ to my 2yo nephew and lovedddd!
