I was diagnosed in 1st grade and let me tell ya - it was lonely! It’s little things like a coloring book where the princess has a funny thing on her arm, or a Barbie with medical supplies in her purse that help the adjustment period! If you know someone recently diagnosed - send them a cute coloring book! It’ll keep them distracted as mom treats a low or is trying to calculate how much insulin to do for dinner!
