Exterior upgrade on a budget!

This simple project only costed us $40 to complete! All we need was a few solar lights and some sunshine to enhance the look of our house at night.

Lights were found at Home Depot for $7.88 a piece!

Tomorrow night Coleman transitions into his bedroom. 🌜

It didn’t hit me until now that this moment is here. He has been sleeping in his bassinet in our bedroom every night since we brought him home. We have shared a room with him since the moment he was along our side, and we only have one more night of that.

As I’m sitting in his room I just wonder, how is he already 4 months? A quarter or a year old. Is he going to be okay in his room alone even though we are right down the hall? That hallway for some reason feels so long today.

I know in my heart he is going to do great, but am I? He might not notice much of a difference, but I’m going to miss hearing his little sleepy sounds next to us in our bed.

These are just the random thoughts running through my head today. Maybe it’s the rainy weather making me miss him even more, even though I know he’s going to be right down the hall.

I’ve got our audio & camera ready. How many times do you think I’ll check it a night? 😝

I am a big winter person, but I’ve never been so ready for Spring. The weather here has been such a tease. One day it’s 60°F, and days later it’s calling for snow. WHYYYYY.

To make Spring feel closer rather than further away, I decided to freshen up our front porch!

I was super excited to pick out these solar lanterns for our front porch! Not only do they illuminate beautifully, but they do not have glass. Which is a big bonus to me. Have you ever cleaned glass that’s been weathered? A pain in the a**. 😝

I was trying to incorporate more winter decor this season and follow that trend, but it wasn’t working out. It felt too Christmas-y and too cluttered. So I took it all down and went for a simpler look. Less is more, and less to clean! 😝

Productive or lazy Sunday after Christmas?

After having our baby, my energy levels have slowly been making its way back! So today is laundry day!

We had such a wonderful and relaxing holiday and I am feeling well rested. My husband has been the real MVP. He’s been helping with with not just baby boy, but with the house, meals, our pup, and taking care of me. I couldn’t do this without him by my side! Thank you Seany 🤍

With the upgrade of our new front door, we are able to let in so much more natural light. This space prior was lacking so much. It felt small and and closed off to the rest of the house.

Now with allowing so much more natural light, it really opens this space up. It gives the illusion of a much larger entryway!

Hope everyone had an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! 🤍 How did you spend your holiday?

We spent Thanksgiving at home with our family for a small dinner and enjoyed a lot of time cozied up by the fire.

It is so crazy to think that this was our last holiday before our newest addition to the family arrives! Well, crossing our fingers he arrives before Christmas! 🤞🏼
