Hope you all had the sweetest Mother’s Day!
Here’s a little recap of ours — starting with breakfast in bed, complete with the cutest homemade menu by the kids!

We headed to church as a family, then off to brunch… where we just so happened to be seated right by the dessert bar. You already know — tiny desserts = permission to try one of everything, right?!

One of my favorite parts of the day was the flower stand where the kids created their own bouquets for mom. It was such a thoughtful touch and made my heart melt.

We had a quiet afternoon (a true Mother’s Day gift!), and then for dinner, the kids had another surprise menu planned. And of course, Chris grilled his famous steak — hands down the best cook in the house. Honestly, his cooking gets better every year of our marriage… and mine? Let’s just say I’m lucky to have him and Blair in the kitchen these days!

We ended the day with Barbie Monopoly (their pick, not mine!), and lots of giggles.

Feeling full (literally and emotionally) and so grateful for this little family of mine.

Easter Recap from D.C. We celebrated in our nation’s capital

I found the perfect last-minute Easter dress!

We started our day at Easter service with my aunt and uncle—grateful for family and the reminder that the tomb is still empty.

Then we had brunch at the historic Cosmos Club in D.C.—a private club founded in 1878 that’s hosted presidents, Nobel Prize winners, and Supreme Court justices. The architecture alone was stunning!

It was a brunch to remember… and we’ve got a full week of D.C. adventures ahead!
