Rulers and French curves are great for pattern alterations. A tailor’s clapper can give you a nice crisp edge. A sewing machine if you need one. And stock up on replacement blades for the rotary cutter. And there’s much more online.

Adding some elastic to the back of a skirt (or pants) can really improve the fit. I did this and now I have something that fits better and gets worn a lot more often. #LTKdiy
