Building a wardrobe starts with the foundations.

A white tank and denim will always be one of the easiest places to begin. From there, the outfit is built by layering pieces that add texture, structure, and personality.

For this look, the formula was simple:
foundation: white tank + denim
layer: bomber jacket
statement: textured boots

Once your basics are solid, getting dressed becomes less about finding something to wear and more about deciding how you want to elevate it.

Don’t rush the process. I moved here a year and a half ago, and I’m now in the final stages of decorating—bringing in lighting, artwork, and small accessories. I’ve been very intentional about hiring Black professionals and purchasing from Black or women-owned brands, which is why my sister named the design Abode Noir 🖤
