Our fridges work so hard day and night, never resting and always managing to keep our food cool and fresh. They work overtime when our husbands leave the doors open, and never tire of the smudges little fingers leave on them. So, today is their day and I think they deserve a little love, don’t you!? In all seriousness though, here’s some easy tips for how to give your fridge the refresh it deserves: After grocery shopping and getting a few fridge bins (linked in my stories) you should: 1. Take everything out of your fridge and categorize 2. Check for expiration dates, throw away any expired items and donate any you don’t use 3. Wipe down your entire fridge inside and out (don’t forget underneath and on top)! 4. Decant fruits and vegetables into bins (if available) - I love these from @idlivesimply 5. Place back the rest of the food in a way that makes sense for your family 6. Enjoy your freshly cleaned out fridge, and your fridge will enjoy it too! A note on #5 - place items you know will go has the quickest in a visible area. This is why I love pre-washing and decanting my fruits and some vegetables. This way, it’s my face so I know I need to eat it before it goes bad. I purchased these bins when I redid my fridge a year ago from @thecontainerstore - they are my favorite bins by @idlivesimply + @thehomeedit collab. One year later, and my fridge still looks like this and we still love the bins and their functionality! #LTKunder50
