Set the Base: Place your large planter where you want it.
Create a Riser: Turn an empty plastic pot upside down and place it in the center of the large planter to act as a hidden pedestal.
Add the Second Tier: Place your smaller planter on top of that upside-down pot.
Plant the Garden: Fill the empty space around the center pedestal with potting soil and add your flowers.
Add Water & Fountain: Fill the top planter with water, place your solar fountain inside, and you’re done!

I just ran a soil test on the Annabelles I planted last summer, and the tool didn’t lie…my soil is highly alkaline.
Alkaline soil will ruin your hydrangeas’ health. Annabelles love slightly acidic soil (around 6.0 to 6.5 pH). When the soil is too alkaline, they can’t absorb iron, leading to yellowing leaves and smaller, weaker blooms.
So here is the emergency health routine I’m doing today:
1️⃣ The Reality Check: Use a soil pH tester. Don’t guess with your plants!
2️⃣ The Acidic Feed: I’m using an organic fertilizer specifically formulated for acid-loving plants. It gently lowers the pH over time while feeding the plant exactly what it needs for those giant, fluffy white heads.
3️⃣ The Work: Sprinkle it around the drip line, rake it in, get your hands dirty to mix it well, and water it thoroughly to activate it.
If you want those iconic, crisp white pom-poms all summer long, you have to treat the soil right!
