I had some questions about the lip color I was wearing in my post from the other day. This is the Maybelline Matte Ink Crayon in shade “Check Yourself.” I don’t always do well with a bright red lip, so I really like that this has more of a berry tone to it. I really like these lip crayons and I have a few other shades too. They are matte, so make sure you exfoliate your lips beforehand so it goes on smoothly!

Real talk here friends… I have not been feeling very confident in my body lately. This post is not to draw attention or look for sympathy, compliments, etc, but I want to be honest with you. I always try to give you the best tips when it comes to sizing, and I know many of you go off what size I’m wearing. If you’ve noticed lately, I’ve been posting that I’m “in between sizes” and I know that can be hard for you when determining what size you should get. It’s been hard for me too. My clothes that were loose on me this time last year are now snug, and some just don’t fit. I bought this same dress last year in black when I was 8-10 lbs less and almost a full size smaller. It doesn’t fit this year. I’m the first person to cheer others on, tell them they look beautiful no matter their size, and say things like, “size is just a number!” So why do I have the hardest time telling myself those exact things?! It’s definitely a struggle that I’ve had my entire life. But I’m working on it.
While I could sit here and feel sorry for myself about the black dress, I remember how pretty it made me feel when I wore it, and not because of my size or the number on the tag, but because it’s a beautiful dress and I loved it so much. So… I bought the next size up in another color, and when I put it on, I had that exact same feeling! 🥰 I’m not perfect, and I’m working on be kinder to myself, and this is your reminder to be kind to yourself too. Buy and wear what makes you feel beautiful, and try not to focus on the number on the tag. And I promise I’ll try to do the same ❤️
