Our deck was a new space that was being neglected, longing for a touch of an outdoor living space. But, with a vision in mind, we embarked on a DIY journey to breathe new life into our outdoor haven.

We began with a DIY Cedar Coffee Table and End Table (post coming soon). We crafted a stunning cedar tables for our deck. Its natural beauty and durability added a modern flair to our deck, becoming the focal point for family gatherings and late night drinks.

We added some comfort and style, by adding a cozy rattan couch, chairs and ottoman. Its timeless design not only enhanced the overall aesthetic but also created a comfortable spot for relaxation, blending seamlessly with the surrounding natural elements.

The final touch came in the form of an outdoor rug – a vibrant, weather-resistant piece that tied the entire space together. The rug not only defined the seating area but also added a modern look, making the deck feel like an extension of our home.

The result? A deck that went from neglected to fabulous, where every detail was considered. Now, our outdoor space is an oasis of comfort and style, perfect for lazy afternoons, family gatherings, and making lasting memories, all overlooking the beauty of the lake. DIY Shiplap Wall- No Painting!

It's almost the new year and a perfect time for a refresh. This DIY shiplap wall was so easy to install. The sections literally clip into one another, and you simply nail the sides and depending on how long, possibly the top channel that covered by the next board.

And for those who say shiplap is out- I say SMH! Shiplap withstands the test of time, it's transitional and classy looking. It's especially fun in all the great color options like navy, black and cream.

Before and after home office. My home office was a hot spot for me. I'm not sure how my entire home is spotless, but this space always seems to be where everything falls.
