Not only is this a special moment for this beautiful bridge faucet, but it’s a special moment to talk about how to properly mix metals in your kitchen!

▪️Ensure that metals serving the same function are consistent and purposeful. For example, here we coordinated polished nickel plumbing fixtures such as the faucet, sprayer, air switch, and pot filler.

▪️Consider varying the texture of the metals by mixing matte, polished, and hammered finishes to achieve a visually interesting and textured effect. Here, we mixed in aged brass cabinet hardware which has a slightly brushed finish along with the polished nickel plumbing fixtures.

▪️Also, ensure that the metals create a balanced look within the space. Balance, balance, balance!

As a sneak peak into our kitchen remodel in South Fayette, I want to introduce Farrow&Ball - No. 4 Old White. One of their traditional neutrals, Old White can read as a subdued green, particularly in north facing rooms, but feels more of a classic greige in well lit spaces. Mixed with Zia’s Zellige tile, and we have a chef’s kiss for this kitchen corner!
