BIRTHDAY DIY

By WrapsandRosesCollective

Day 11 of 30 in my countdown to ONE. ✨

Of all the projects I’ve completed lately, this might be my first true “grown-up” addition to the festivities.

Coffee carried me through this first year of motherhood… and an espresso martini here and there hasn’t hurt either. 😉

Cub Club Cocktails are officially in production and I cannot wait to see them all set up on party day.

Almost to the single digits! 🤎🐻🍸

All items used are linked on my LTK in my profile.

Save this for your next DIY party.
Day 22 of 30 — Countdown to One ✨

Putting together this time capsule box has been one of the most meaningful projects so far. I ordered the invitation suite from Etsy, but made it more cost-effective (and personal) by printing on the cardstock I already purchased for other projects instead of paying for prints at Walgreens.

Handmade truly feels more sentimental — it carries intention.

I especially love the rich stain and overall warmth of this box. It already feels like something we’ll pull out years from now, flip through, and remember exactly what this season felt like. 🤎

My Cricut is definitely getting a workout lately… and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Some projects are just decor — and some become family keepsakes.

This one feels like a keepsake 🤍
Day 26 of my countdown to ONE 🤍
This is the high chair banner I created with ribbon, layered cardstock, my Cricut, and a whole lot of patience. Made quietly after bedtime—my favorite time to craft, when the house is still and creativity feels a little sweeter.
I can already picture it: everyone singing Happy Birthday while Christopher happily devours his smash cake right here… and yes, I’m already getting emotional thinking about it. I can’t believe my first baby is turning one.
A little bonus DIY win: I scored this Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair on Facebook Marketplace and gave it a fresh coat of this beautiful green. Proof that thoughtful, handmade details (and a little thrifting) really do make the magic.
The DIYs have been strong around here lately—and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🌿✨
Day 24 of 30 — Countdown to One ✨
Created the sweetest personalized cake topper — and it feels especially fitting because today CTJ is officially 11 months old 🤍
I’m feeling extra grateful (and maybe a little emotional) celebrating our baby boy this month. Watching these details come together makes it all feel so real.
This topper was such an easy project to create during nap time/after bedtime. A few simple layering tricks on my Cricut and it was ready to go — proof that thoughtful doesn’t have to mean complicated.
Handmade details, classic colors, and a whole lot of heart — this is the kind of party planning I love most.
Day 27 of 30 — Countdown to One ✨
This birthday banner was absolutely worth the time.
There’s something so special about seeing a DIY come to life — hanging, finished, and already telling the story of the celebration to come.
I can’t help but picture it in the venue, layered in with all the other handmade details, laughter, and that one moment when everything finally comes together.
Handmade details, classic colors, and a whole lot of heart — this is the kind of party planning I love most 🤍
✨ Countdown to One — Day 28 of 30 ✨
Follow along as I DIY my way through my baby’s first birthday.

During my free time this weekend, I created the sweetest custom birthday banner for our little Ralph Lauren–inspired celebration 🤍🎀

Using cardstock and ribbon from Hobby Lobby, this DIY ended up being much easier than I expected. Full transparency: it was a bit time-consuming — but there’s something so rewarding about seeing a finished piece you made with your own two hands.

Could I have bought a banner? Sure.
But where’s the fun (or the memories) in that?

I’m officially in my after-bedtime crafting era, and this one turned out so cute.

Let the countdown begin. ✨

We’re officially 4 weeks out from our baby’s first birthday, and I’m deep in my DIY era. I’m keeping everything organized in my birthday binder and tackling projects one by one—mostly after bedtime.

I’ve already started checking things off the list, including this high-chair banner that came together so easily and ended up being one of my favorite details. Proof that you don’t need a ton of time to create something meaningful—just a plan and the right supplies.

If you’re planning a first birthday and love DIY, I’ll be sharing every project as we count down to ONE. 🐻🎂

I created this birthday banner so easily—once you get comfortable navigating shapes and layering in Cricut Design Space, projects like this are truly a breeze. ✨

Materials used: Paper Studio cardstock, ribbon (green, blue, cream, and gingham), floral wire, and roll-on glue dots. Simple supplies, minimal time, and such a cute payoff.

This high-chair banner is going to photograph so well for Christopher’s cake smash. 🐻🎂

Planning my son’s 1st birthday and honestly loving every second of it 🤍
As a proud mix of Type A + Type B, I’m meticulously planning and DIY-ing as much as possible.
We’re sticking with the Ralph Lauren Bear theme for a tiny luxury celebration 🐻☕️
I found the perfect DIY party bundle on Etsy, and I can’t wait to bring this vision to life.
Follow along as I DIY my way into a new creative era ✨
