Three things to check as you go:

→ Have you actually worn it in the last year? Be honest.

Episode 3 of walking you through everything I learned from a personal stylist, for free 👀

Same person. Same day. One dress makes me look broad, one looks balanced — and it’s not the dress, it’s my shoulders.

I’m an inverted triangle, which means my shoulders are my widest measurement. The blue dress falls straight down from the widest part of me, so that’s the whole silhouette. The red one shows my waist and puts the volume below my hip, so my shoulders have something to balance against.

This is the thing that changed the most for me. You can know your style, have the perfect Pinterest board, buy the exact right piece — and it still won’t look right if the proportions are off. That’s not a you problem. It’s a fit problem, and it’s fixable.

So go back to the style types you picked last week and be honest — did you pick it because it’s YOU, or because you love it on someone else?

This week’s homework: build your Pinterest board. And every single pin, ask where you’d actually wear it. School pickup, dinner, the grocery store. If you can’t answer in three seconds, don’t save it.
